I have not wanted to look at this page for some time, simply out of denial. I even dodged you the past few days to avoid having to sign for NCIC validations, hoping that if I refused, you couldn't leave. Cyndi informed me that my premise, while logical, did not support the ultimate, irrefutable conclusion.
ReplyDeleteThus, on your final working day, I sit here at my keyboard with a heavy heart and numb mind, and unwillingly acknowledge the end of an era. My selfishness aside, I wish you the best in your future endeavors.
Live long and prosper, Capt. Baker. Live long and prosper.

I put this off as long as possible, hoping it wasn't real. It sank in yesterday when I walked by your office and didn't see you on the phone frustrated with the latest Global flub :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the laughs. It has been a pleasure getting to know you.
Congratulations on your retirement
